About Jōgyō-ji Temple

Jōgyō-ji Temple is a Nichiren Buddhist temple founded by Nichihan Shōnin in the year 1313. It is said that the main hall was relocated from Myōhō-ji Temple during the Meiji era. The temple is known as a place for warding off cancer and is dedicated to the deities Kasamori Inari and Migawari Kishibojin. It is also believed to bring blessings for other illnesses, traffic safety, and protection from misfortune.
